Frequently Asked Questions

  • Previous experience is not required for our Beginner Level 1 classes. You will need prior experience for our higher level classes. Please read our class descriptions to see how much experience is required for the level.

  • No partner necessary for any of our classes. We rotate frequently in the class so that everyone will have ample time to practice with a partner.

  • Yes, please register for each class online before coming to the studio as classes fill up quickly.

    If you show up for class without a reservation, we cannot guarantee a place for you in the class.

    Signing up speeds up checking in at the studio and ensures you receive all class updates, so that you start your class on time.

  • We will announce the exact room and studio location the day before or day of class. The studios are all within walking distance from each other at:

    500 8th Ave. / 520 8th Ave. / 305 W 38th St.
    New York, NY 10018

  • New Students/Beginners are suggested to start at the beginning of a cycle. The 1st week is preferred but you may join the 2nd week if space allows.

    After the 2nd week, you will need to wait for the next cycle (repeats every 4 weeks). Check our next cycle dates on the schedule.

  • No dress code. Dress comfortably, dress light, and something you can move around and dance in!

  • Beginners can start with street shoes or dress shoes that have ankle-straps (support) with medium-height heels or any flat-bottom shoes or regular dancing shoes. Avoid wearing shoes that have thick rubber soles such as sneakers, clogs, boots or flip-flops.

  • You must complete all classes in your package during the current cycle. It cannot be used or extended for future workshops/cycles. It cannot be shared or transferred to another person.

  • Class packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. There are no extensions.
